We know what counts, and we have it in view.

When it comes to quality, workplace safety, health protection, environmental protection and energy efficiency, we don’t compromise. Our company has been certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 since 2013 and DIN EN ISO 45001 since late 2023. We practise environmental management according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 and energy management according to DIN EN ISO 50001:2018. Separately from IMR’s operating business, our department works to continuously improve all of our management systems. This approach ensures the company’s competitiveness and guarantees our sustainable future.

Quality management

Process optimisation secures our advantage.

The certification of our quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 attests to the continuous and integrated inspection of all processes in the company. Numerous criteria must be fulfilled, including strategic and operational concerns, customer needs and the requirements of further stakeholders such as legislators and public authorities.

These factors can at times run counter to one another. This makes it all the more important that the quality management system be implemented across all areas of the company and can play a mediating role in case of a conflict. Transparent and clearly defined processes are the basis for this. We’re steadily optimising these in order to remain in the forefront of quality management in the future.

Occupational safety management

Health first.

The health and workplace safety of our employees, partners and all people connected with our company have absolute priority at IMR.

In the framework of this certification, we’re continuously improving occupational safety in the company. To be able to act early and preventively, we’re already registering all common key figures in the sphere of occupational health and safety management. These include measures in the areas of safety, occupational healthcare and health protection. With the aim of perfecting our on-the-job health management practices, we founded the health-work cycle. This comprises numerous activities and measures designed to ensure mindful, healthy and productive workplace cooperation.

Environmental management

We conserve resources.

Environmental protection and resource conservation play a central role at IMR. As a recycling company, we place a particular focus on protecting the environment in the interest of sustainability, and we continuously work to conserve resources over the long term. Beyond applicable legal requirements, we’re constantly exploring possible additional measures to protect and contribute to the health of the environment.

We therefore evaluate all company processes and activities with regard to their environmental relevance. In the development and operation of our plants, for example, we take care to avoid negative impacts on the environment and to use raw materials and supplies in a controlled and sparing manner. Moreover, all of our sites have been certified since 2022 in accordance with the environmental management system DIN EN ISO 14001:2015, providing additional assurance in this area.

Energy management

Saving energy is always profitable.

We’re an energy-intensive company. It therefore makes not just ecological, but also economic sense to manage our energy consumption responsibly. At all IMR locations, our energy management system is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2018.

We constantly strive to improve the energy efficiency of our plants. Alongside our on-site energy consumption, this also concerns the purchase and securing of energy in the amounts we need. Additionally, in keeping with our examination of possibilities for increasing our own electricity generation, we began generating power using a photovoltaic system at the start of 2024.
